Ebony groves near Kakuli

Besides the Leopard and Hunting dogs, Thornicroft Giraffe the Ebony trees are also a main attraction of Luangwe. Due to the hardness of ebony wood has been exploited ever since man started making tools. Luckily large groves are still in tact and protected in Zambia.
