Spring meadow in California

Appreciating the diversity of nature often means getting down on your knees and getting close. Walking through a meadow in the Monterey bay area I suddenly noticed the odd meteorite shapes seeds of grasses. Together with the poppies and lupines that made a busy but attractive composition.
